What type of riders is the yard suitable for?
Both relaxed leisure riders and competitive riders feel at home here. The facilities support focused training, while the estate offers miles of peaceful hacking for those who prefer a slower pace.
Is there someone on-site at all times?
Yes. The yard manager and two head grooms live on the property, providing round-the-clock care and oversight.
Are the trails open to all liveries?
Absolutely. Riders are welcome to explore the estate’s vineyard paths and mountain-view routes at their own pace.
Do you offer training or lessons?
Yes. Riders have access to respected trainers, including Dan, Clayton, and EsJay, with lessons and clinics offered throughout the year.
Is my horse safe at night?
The yard is located inside Lourensford Estate with 24/7 monitored security. Combined with on-site staff, horses are always cared for and watched over.
Can I use the horsebox?
A horsebox is available for liveries to use, and towing classes are offered for those who want to learn or gain confidence.
Are juniors welcome?
Yes. Young riders — including Somerset College students — are part of the yard’s community and often benefit from access to trainers and safe hacking routes.
How do I enquire about availability?
You can contact us through the enquiry form, and the yard manager will arrange a time for you to visit and see the space.
